Here's how a session with me works, from your first message to your finished photographs. If your question isn't answered here, ask me. I'm happy to talk it through.
Inquire About a SessionBeauty & Glamour Portraits
This session is about portraits of you: your face, your expression, and a look we plan together. Some women book for a birthday or a milestone. Others simply want photographs of themselves that they love.
We'll talk about wardrobe and the mood you like, whether that's soft and simple or more dramatic, and I'll guide your posing from start to finish. If you're curious about boudoir but not sure it's for you, this is a comfortable place to start.
Boudoir
Boudoir sessions are intimate portraits, usually in lingerie, a robe, a sheet, or a favorite piece of clothing. Before anything is planned, we'll talk about what you're comfortable with and how much you want to show.
Some women prefer covered, suggestive images, and others want something bolder. That decision is yours, and I'll guide each pose so you always know what to do next.
Branding & Headshots
Branding and headshot sessions are for women who need professional photographs for their work, whether that's a website, social media, a speaker page, or an online profile.
Before your session, I'll ask what you do, who you work with, and where the photos will appear, so we can plan your outfits and poses around that. Whether you need one strong headshot or a set of images for your business, I'll guide your expression so you look like yourself.
From Your First Message to Your Finished Photographs

Inquiry and planning.
Send an inquiry with a few details. I'll get back to you to talk about what you're hoping for, answer your questions, and go over current pricing and availability.

Preparation and wardrobe.
Once your session is booked, I'll help you plan what to wear and how to prepare. You're welcome to send me photos of pieces you're considering, and I'll tell you honestly what will photograph well.

Hair and makeup.
What's included depends on your session type. I'll confirm your hair and makeup arrangements before you book.

Guided photography.
In the studio, I'll guide you through every pose: where to put your hands, how to shift your weight, and where to look. We'll go at a comfortable pace and change outfits if you've planned more than one look.

Seeing your photographs.
After your session, I'll walk you through how you'll see your images, choose your favorites, and receive your finished photographs.

I've been photographing people for more than twenty years, from portraits to weddings, and I'll be behind the camera for your session, guiding you the whole way.
My Studio
My studio is on my property between Republic and Mount Vernon, Missouri, about 35 minutes west of Springfield. It's a private space, not a shared building or storefront. I'll send the address and directions once your session is booked.
